ঠিক সেই অন্ধকার সময়েই নাজিল হয় কুরআনের একটি বিস্ময়কর ঘোষণা। বলা হলো, রোমানরা পরাজিত হয়েছে, কিন্তু খুব শিগগিরই তারা আবার বিজয়ী হবে। সেই সময় এই কথাটি শোনা অনেকের কাছেই অসম্ভব মনে হয়েছিল। কারণ বাস্তবতা ছিল সম্পূর্ণ ভিন্ন। কিন্তু কয়েক বছরের মধ্যেই ইতিহাস এমনভাবে ঘুরে দাঁড়ায়, যা মানুষকে বিস্মিত করে দেয়।

Two of the greatest empires of the ancient world — the Romans and the Persians — were locked in a brutal war. During one phase of the conflict, it seemed as if the Roman Empire was on the brink of collapse. Persian armies were conquering city after city and had even captured Jerusalem. To the world, the fall of Rome looked inevitable.

But at that very moment, a remarkable statement was revealed in the Quran. It declared that although the Romans had been defeated, they would soon be victorious again within a few years.

For many people at the time, this sounded impossible. The reality on the battlefield suggested the opposite. Yet history took an unexpected turn that left the world astonished.
